Description of discipline:
The basic tool is a baton. Choreography is based on the movement and coordination, connected to charm and flexibility, including baton twirling. The choreography can also use dance jumps, spins and other different dance variations. The jury will decide based on the criteria of performance, versatility, quality of choreography, performed dance elements, but will also take into account the artistry of choreography, costumes, overall quality, team chemistry, etc. The march must account for one third of the composition, it must start with the left foot, both legs should be lifted in the same height, without front kicks, dance steps are allowed (jumps, leaps, turns, etc.). Lifts are allowed only in the final pose (pyramids are forbidden). If the baton is dropped, it must be picked up immediately. Deliberate putting the baton off for a short time as part of the choreography is allowed. If twirling elements are included, make sure they are implemented properly. If working with two batons, the member without a baton must be active. On-the-floor elements performed over the head (roll, roll over) are forbidden.
Description of discipline:
Cheerleading is very varied and can include many dance techniques (disco dance, show dance, street dance, ballet elements, etc.). The basic cheerleading elements include stunts, pyramids, jumps, acrobatic movements, dance and chants. The maximum permissible height of the pyramid in BDG competitions are "two storeys" above the base! Stunts are essential elements of the pyramids. One stunt consists of five people. Dance is a special part of evaluation in BDG competitions and in cheerleading it can have two forms: the so-called cheer dance, consisting of special cheerleading movements, and different dance styles, the influence of most of which comes from disco dance, show dance, street dance and ballet elements - modified pirouettes, kicks, etc..
